Tacos and horchata were delicious and authentic. Affordable, filling, nice service. It's a small space with both indoor and outdoor seating but gets filled quickly on taco Tuesday.

Chorizo Breakfast Burrito was on point. Massive portion, super delicious with "Spicy" salsa on the side.
Place may be what you consider "Hole in the Wall" nothing fancy. Clean dining area with a few chairs and tables and with delicious food. -
Not the place I expected to become a regular at but I just can't help it. I absolutely love getting tacos here and I come a few times a week, it does take a bit of time for them to prepare the order (about 15 minutes) but that's how I know they always make it fresh to order! Not really a lot of room to sit down but this is definitely my go to for takeout.
And great prices, I can usually get out of here for under 20 bucks ordering for me and my fiancé. -
This is the kind of place Mexican laborers will go eat, have a beer or three, then head back to work. If you know what I'm talking about, then you know exactly what I mean: this place is legit. While I've tried all their tacos and would recommend all of them, I have to recommend one thing and one thing only: you have to try their tripas tacos. I could not find tripas anywhere else in OC (yet) like how Perla's does their tripas. Crispy on the outside and chewy/tender on the inside. Food is a 5, only reason this is a 4-star review is because for being in South Orange County the establishment could be cleaner and better organized for seating.

This small place is very good. It is family run, and it shows in the care they take preparing their variety of foods. Service is fast, and their prices are very reasonable. Many of their customers are regulars, which is a big endorsement. Their carne asada is tops, and you can get it served on nachos, tacos, combo plates, burritos, and probably other dishes I haven't tried yet. This isn't part of a cookie cutter chain, and you can get anything made to order. If you are craving comfort food, you can get your food loaded up to your specifications. If you want something light, their street tacos are simple and delicious.

My wife and I were looking for a decent Mexican restaurant nearby. She alerted me to Perla's down in Mission Viejo. I will probably get in trouble for this, but I decided to call in a take-out order since I had some errands to run earlier. It took a couple of tries but once I got through, I was able to easily place my order: one al pastor burrito and the three beef taquitos appetizer. The lady on the other end told me it would be ready in ten minutes, so off I went.
The order was ready and the kind cashier recommended some of all three of the salsa choices (green and two reds, one hot and one mild). The service was quick and friendly. I had another stop before getting home but even after nearly half an hour, the food was still hot enough. I should have taken pictures but they looked and tasted good.
I'll be back for sure!

Holy crap this was some amazing food! Lengua was tender. Asada burrito was big and delicious. Also super cheap! Less than $10 for a big ass burrito!!! Free chips and salsa if you eat there. Must go! Legit place. Tons of Latinos/as in there, which you know makes this place authentic.
